Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in The West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" place. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of communities. People who have never been aware of it frequently mistake it for an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel was born there and her time there was short. Brugel became a woman of a certain age living in Courtice Ontario just outside Oshawa. At the beginning of her life, she wanted to be the next big thing in her career, but a sudden increase in her height made it difficult. A Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. Once I was bigger than the size of my male companion then I slowed down. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In the case of Brugel it was because of the advice of her drama teacher at high school that led her to the path she required. The teacher encouraged her to try out for roles in her school's production. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the principal role for Anne of Green Gables after she tried out. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years, the roles played by Brugel on television and the big screen have varied. The role of Rita from the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel was the sole Canadian of the Season 1 cast of the show and seen only occasionally, was the sole Canadian.
